Huntington Beach Residential Property
and Environmental Damage Case Settles
Real Estate law firm, Guldjian
Law Group, APC, settled landmark residential property
and environmental damage case with Verizon and its contractors.
During a drilling project for a Verizon fiber optics
development in the City of Huntington Beach, contractors
struck a main sewer line to a residential property causing
major backup and blockage in the sewer system. The resulting
damage was major water and sewage damage to home. The
firm advocated the rights of the client to obtain property
and general damages from the responsible parties.
Partner of the firm, Mr. Christopher
Guldjian, stated that “this case is representative
of the manner in which a major utility development in
the city can ultimately cause so much damage.”
The contractors and utility company attempted to avoid
the extent of damages prior to the Guldjian Law Group
presenting the facts and applying the law for the just
compensation due to the Plaintiffs. The firm considers
this case a wonderful victory as contractors should
realize the rights of the individual homeowner and take
the necessary safety precautions.

GLG Argues Client’s Right to
Domain Name Against Manufacturer
Guldjian Law Group successfully argued
against claims of internet trademark infringement brought
by a large manufacturer against a small business. A
major manufacturer demanded that the small business
located in Orange County, California hand-over their
internet domain name by alleging that it was violation
of their trademark. The domain name was in use for several
uses before the manufacturer received the trademark
and the small business’ sales were almost exclusively
based on internet sales.
The Costa Mesa based law firm presented
the arguments within the guidelines established by the
Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers
(ICANN) and applied the administrative rules for a successful
resolution of the matter. The small business was able
to continue the use of the domain name and continues
to increase its internet sales.
